How we work

Useful automation needs visible boundaries.

Knit Your Stack separates probabilistic parsing from deterministic business logic, tests successful and failing paths, and keeps outputs in review until an authorized person approves them.

The core pattern

Messy input to approved action.

1

Receive

Authorized notes, email, photos, voice transcripts, forms, or exports enter a bounded process.

2

Parse

A model performs one narrow job: translate uncertain input into schema-valid structured data.

3

Validate

Code checks types, sources, required fields, confidence, duplicates, and business rules.

4

Draft

The workflow prepares a record, quote, invoice, report, message, or exception for review.

5

Approve

A named person approves consequential action before any authorized live write occurs.

What must be proven

A demo is not a delivery standard.

Fixtures

Every trigger and branch needs representative passing and failing examples, including malformed, duplicate, low-confidence, denied, and external-failure cases where applicable.

Traceability

Important names, amounts, dates, and decisions trace back to an authorized source. The model does not invent missing operational facts.

Recovery

Monitoring, exception ownership, retries, reconciliation, backup, rollback, and escalation are part of the design—not an afterthought.

People stay responsible

Automation works behind the human.

We do not build AI receptionists or customer-facing conversational agents. Automated acknowledgement may protect a callback promise, but replies route to a person. Models do not make employment, credit, legal, health, compliance, or other regulated decisions.

Choose the route

Workflow problem or system problem?

Use Second Shift when the tools still fit but the repeated work between them does not. Use Made to Fit when the core operating system itself needs to be chosen, configured, connected, or built.
